Business Administration Capstone (strategic management) Adjunct – Online

Franklin University, located in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking online adjunct faculty for BSAD 495, teaching in a student-centered environment that is focused on teaching working adults. This is a twelve week online course that is offered multiple times each year with a focus on analyzing the strategic framework of an organization to determine opportunities for improvement or change in strategic direction. 

The adjunct faculty position will teach online and must have broad knowledge of all aspects of business to enable students to integrate earlier cross-functional learning, culminating in a capstone experience prior to graduation. 

The instructor must have a Master’s Degree (Ph.D. preferred) in a business related discipline such as MBA, Strategic Managment, Organizational Behavior, Management, Leadership, or Organizational Development.

The preferred qualifications are a minimum of 10 years organizational experience with at least 5 years in mid-level to strategic-level management with responsibilities for broad organizational functions such as strategic planning, goal setting, organization assessment, problem solving, and performance improvement. The successful candidate must have the ability to apply general management concepts across various organizational contexts and industries along with a working knowledge of systems theory.

To effectively teach the class requires skills and knowledge in communication, verbally and electronically, constructive feedback, strong facilitation skills, adult learning theories, organizational change theory, management and leadership theory and general management theory.
