Accreditation
On March 3, 2008, the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools began a three day site visit as part of the routine course of the University’s reaccreditation process. Upon completion of its review of Franklin's self-study report, touring the University, and interviewing staff and faculty members, the site visit team provided its unofficial recommendation: Franklin be granted the maximum 10-year accreditation.
On Monday, August 18, 2008, the Institutional Actions Council of the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) approved all respects of the recommendations from the Readers' Panel and the Site Review Team with validation approval from the HLC Board.
This approval is an overwhelming endorsement of the work Franklin University and its faculty and staff offer toward ensuring academic quality, providing access, and adapting to student needs. We invite you to review Franklin’s self study report demonstrating how it meets the criterion set forth to ensure it meets its mission in serving its constituents at: http://video.franklin.edu/Franklin/selfStudy/index.html.
